The live music capital of the world, Austin Texas, takes its live music moniker onto a global stage as it welcomes music enjoyers and festival goers worldwide for the next two weekends this October.

One of the most highly anticipated music festivals of the South, this festival culminates its grassroots culture with its music and tech industry innovation. As the first event to be acquired and fostered by C3, a live event and artist management company based in the same city, Austin City Limits (ACL) Fest is no stranger to collaborative efforts to provide profits into the city’s park foundation—as it has done so since the festival’s conception in 2002.

Pushing the boundary of the festival’s innovation, ACL is providing other festival experiences beyond the park’s 351 acres. Those unable to attend physically can still witness some of the festival’s acts through the official Hulu livestream, bringing in broadcasting influences from the award-winning KLRU/PBS show “Austin City Limits” from which the music festival’s name is inspired from.

Another way locals and tourists alike can experience the spirit of the festival is through ACL Fest Nights. These events bring some lineup acts into the city and onto some iconic Austin music venues along with an after-party vibe. On its second year of conception, ACL Fest Night acts include DJ sets from Foster The People over at Devil May Care and from Porter Robinson at The Concourse Project, lineup-collaborative sets such as Kehlani and Flo at the Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park, and Austin-local lineup act such as promqueen at Stubb’s.

ACL is also furthering its nature-based ethos through sustainability. The festival announced through a collaboration with the REVERB Decarbonization Project that the event will contain a reserved hybrid battery system that will provide electricity to one entire stage and a collection of the festival’s hospitality areas–as done so this year with another C3 festival, Lollapalooza

Images below: Texan-born band Khruangbin, Dua Lipa (Illusion music video filmed in Barcelona), Chappell Roan, and Californian rock band Blink-182 are some of the big names performing this year at ACL.

Likewise, due to the very prominent presence this festival has in the heart of the city, ACL will once again offer shuttle transportation and continue to encourage other car-alternative transportation methods. Such as the city’s metro rail, express bus routes, and its many bike and scooter rentals to transport over the city’s plentiful trails and bike routes.

Overall we’re ecstatic to witness the festival’s plentiful genre-melding acts. Knowing in the same day, one could witness the electronic/alternative rock of I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, the soulful funktronica of Britany Davis, psychedelic sounds from Texan-beloved Khruangbin, conscious hip hop/rap from Vince Staples, and the ever catchy dance-pop from Dua Lipa. We just know that on top of consuming flavorful local cuisine and stopping by interactive tents, we are nothing short of being pampered by southern hospitality.
