The seventh edition of Paral·lel Festival has been a unique experience. During the second weekend of August, Port del Comte became the epicenter of music and nature, attracting around 1,500 attendees who enjoyed the freedom, fun, and safety provided by the organisers.

Paral·lel Festival reaffirms itself as a reference in the small-format festival scene, selling out just two months after announcing its first artists. Despite increasing the number of attendees, the festival maintained its capacity limit to fewer than 2,000 people, prioritizing comfort and the quality of the experience. The event has thus become an annual Mecca for techno and ambient music lovers, with attendees coming from cities like Paris, Berlin, London, and Amsterdam.

A Top-Tier Lineup

Over three days, the festival’s program featured more than thirty hours of music with fifteen national and international performers showcasing the best of techno, ambient, and experimental music. Among the highlights was the Italian duo Voices From The Lake (Donato Dozzy and Neel), who closed the festival with an atmospheric and captivating set. Other acts included Marco Shuttle, known for his avant-garde approach and immersive atmospheres, and Anthony Linell, a key figure in Swedish techno who returned to the festival for the second time. Toki Fuko brought his meditative and deep techno, while Woody 92 mesmerized the audience with his experimental sound exploration. Kia, the young Australian talent, stood out with a fresh and innovative proposal.

Connection Between Music and Nature

The Paral·lel stage was not just a backdrop; the mountains and lush topography added extra value to the music, creating a space of disconnection and tranquility. Thanks to the enchanting landscape of Port del Comte, electronic music organically blended with nature, creating authentic atmospheres of peace, reflection, and fraternity.

Moreover, the weather conditions couldn’t have been better. The beautiful weather graced both day and night, with spectacular days that favored parallel activities and moments of outdoor relaxation. During the nights, the main stage became a true summit of techno, where lights, sound, and the environment came together to offer a magical and unforgettable experience to the spectators.

Much More Than Music

In addition to the musical performances, the festival also offered workshops in the Paral·lel Plus+ space. Thanks to the collaboration of Patricia Usero, Jorge de León (Saturday 10th), and Joton (Sunday 11th), the festival provided attendees with the opportunity to learn about music production and experiment with various technologies.

With this seventh edition, Paral·lel Festival continues to establish itself as an exceptional event, uniting music, nature, and community in a reduced and high-quality format. An authentic experience that, year after year, reaffirms its uniqueness in the world of electronic music.

Paral.lel+ DJ and producer Joton conducted a workshop on how to create a techno track from scratch.
