Teens Media Network Showcases Its Potential at Primavera Pro
On May 29th, Colectivo Piloto unveiled its project Teens Media Network at Primavera Pro, a vital annual gathering taking place at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) coinciding with the iconic and prestigious Primavera Sound festival. This event offers a glimpse behind the scenes of the music industry. TMN and Colectivo Piloto Founder and Executive Director Pablo Herrera introduced the initiative, which was born in New York City a year ago and has grown rapidly since then. This expansion crossed the ocean, bringing the project to Barcelona to cover the Primavera Sound Music Festival, the Sónar Music Festival and beyond, with over 30 young reporters and creatives who have joined the team.
Pablo Herrera, Founder and Executive Director of TMN and Colectivo Piloto, led TMN's participation in the Ideas Showroom. Under his guidance, TMN dynamically presented their plans, mission, and vision, showcasing the breadth and depth of their project. Their active engagement highlighted the diverse range of opportunities and perspectives within the music industry, underscoring their commitment to inclusive communication and cultural promotion.
"TMN not only provides young people with a space to develop creative skills and journalism expertise but also fosters a community that offers opportunities, champions inclusivity, and promotes diverse cultural perspectives," emphasizes Founder Pablo Herrera.
From the opening day at the Primavera Pro, TMN team had the opportunity to engage with participants and attendees throughout various activities. These included insightful sessions such as "The Creation Process of Stella Maris" with Javier Calvo, Javier Ambrossi, and Hidrogenesse; "Unlocking the Power of Fandom: Strategies for Building Artist Audiences and Nurturing Superfans" led by Santander Music; and "Artificial Intelligence in the Context of Creation: A Conversation Between Alizzz and Alex Loscos" hosted by Unison. Additionally, TMN young reporters interviewed employees responsible for setting up and preparing the production of the morning concerts, and performers including ADMIRE, Olaia Inziarte, Mar Pujol, and Llum.
TMN young reporters, were on site for the 3 days, covering and interviewing Primavera Pro employees, musicians, artists, and attendees. Their goal was to provide a comprehensive look at the entire event process. These interactions allowed TMN young creative and reporters to delve deeper into the intricacies of event production and the various creative processes involved. By engaging with a diverse range of participants—from industry experts and artists to behind-the-scenes workers—TMN young reporters enriched the coverage, offering a comprehensive overview of Primavera Pro. This conversation included renewed music industry critics Anthony Fantano and Margeaux, and musician Migluma among others. All the interviews are available on our social media accounts.
