Sónar 2025 has officially unveiled its first wave of artists, promising another unforgettable edition of this iconic festival in Barcelona.

Official image of Sónar 2025. As usual, Sónar presents us with innovative and bold imagery for this music and tech festival.

In June 2024, TMN had the opportunity to cover the latest edition of Sónar Festival, where we experienced the intersection of music, technology, and innovation firsthand. We met visionary artists (Check out this video with Hadren!) and explored the latest in electronic music and tech. This year, with the first 60 acts announced—and many more to come, the lineup promises fresh debuts, exciting collaborations, and performances that push the limits of electronic music and culture. Here's a preview of what’s ahead:

Headliners Redefining Their Art
Leading the charge is Plastikman, Richie Hawtin's legendary alter ego, returning with a show that merges organic visuals with pulsating soundscapes—a first since 2014. Joining him is Nathy Peluso, fresh off a triple Latin Grammy win, debuting her latest album Grasa in her first Spanish show of the year. Other highlights include Arca's brand-new performance, BICEP’s immersive audiovisual journey CHROMA, and Eric Prydz’s progressive house spectacle.

Unprecedented Collaborations
Sónar continues its tradition of fostering creativity and collaboration with standout pairings like Skrillex b2b Blawan and Armin van Buuren b2b Indira Paganotto. Actress will team up with synthesizer pioneer Suzanne Ciani for Concrète Waves, while the breathtaking Room with a View by Rone and (LA)HORDE, featuring Ballet National de Marseille, promises a powerful fusion of music, dance, and protest.

Celebrating Club Culture
On the decks, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Honey Dijon, and Helena Hauff are set to electrify the dancefloor, joined by rising stars like Barry Can't Swim and Sama' Abdulhadi. The return of Printworks London to SonarLab promises a clubbing experience unlike any other, with more details to be revealed soon.

A Platform for Local and Global Voices
From Catalonia’s Tarta Relena and their haunting És pregunta to Yerai Cortés’s innovative flamenco show Guitarra Coral, Sónar showcases homegrown talent alongside international innovators. The lineup also features artists like TETO PRETO, Lord Spikeheart, and Samantha Hudson, who blend music with bold cultural statements.

More Than a Festival
Sónar 2025 is the centerpiece of Sónar Week, which transforms Barcelona into a hub of creativity and culture. Beyond the music, explore OFFSónar parties, the +RAIN Film Festival, and Sónar+D, where technology meets art and innovation, and where we had the opportunity to meet incredible innovators last year.

If you're a creator, submissions are now open for Sónar+D’s Project Area, offering you the opportunity to shape the future of entertainment.

With its first announcement, Sónar 2025 reaffirms its role as a global epicenter for music, art, and technology. Mark your calendar for June 12-14, and stay tuned for more surprises. See you in Barcelona!
