ARTMS in Barcelona: An Emotional Journey with their ‘Moonshot 2024’ at Razzmatazz

From the early hours of the afternoon, the area around Razzmatazz filled with excitement as fans gathered for the much-anticipated ARTMS concert. The long line stretched down the street, with fans—both locals and those from nearby or distant cities—displaying T-shirts, banners, and lightsticks to show their support for ARTMS. Since forming the group, the members have not only reconnected with their music but also with a growing audience, especially in Barcelona, where K-pop has become increasingly popular. The event, titled “Moonshot 2024 World Tour,” is part of the Cruïlla Tardor festival, attracting both fans of LOONA (the group’s former name) and new followers.

As 9:00 PM approached, the venue’s lights dimmed, and an enveloping sound began to fill the space. The introduction felt like a countdown to the arrival of the five members, whose appearance on stage sparked applause and cheers. ARTMS opened the show with “Virtual Angel,” their debut song. The powerful rhythm and vocal harmonies reflected the group’s connection with their audience, and their perfectly synchronized movements reinforced their dedication to each performance.

Throughout the show, the group performed songs from their debut album, DALL, including “Flower Rhythm” and “Cosmic Harmony,” blending genres ranging from electronic pop to more ethereal and melodic sounds. Each song was accompanied by an impressive stage design: light effects and visual projections created a nearly surreal atmosphere, making each moment a unique experience. In a special nod to LOONA fans, the members surprised the audience with reimagined versions of some of their earlier hits, with long-time fans singing along to every line with excitement.

Between songs, ARTMS took the opportunity to interact with their audience, expressing their gratitude for the support and energy of their fans in Barcelona. One of the members, Choerry, made an effort to speak in Spanish, and in response, the crowd gave her an especially warm ovation, demonstrating the closeness the group seeks to maintain with their fans in each country. Heejin and JinSoul (two other members) also approached the edge of the stage multiple times, greeting and smiling at fans in the front rows. These genuine gestures not only prompted louder cheers from the audience but also created an atmosphere of closeness and reciprocity, where artists and fans shared moments of deep connection.

Toward the end of the concert, the venue darkened, and to the audience’s surprise, an emotional video began to play on the stage screens. In it, fans from around the world expressed their messages of support and affection for ARTMS, highlighting the impact the group has had on their lives. This heartfelt moment was especially moving for both the members and fans. Applause and cheers grew as the video ended, reinforcing the international bond ARTMS has built.

The concert ended with “Lunar Light,” a nostalgic ballad, as soft blue and purple lights filled the venue, creating a magical atmosphere. The song, which speaks of emotional connection and a light that persists even through difficult times, was the perfect conclusion to a memorable night. As the final note faded, the applause and cheers continued to echo, sending off the members with an energy that will remain in the memory of everyone present.
